    Your staff is awesome. My husband was recently incarcerated and I have been very concerned about how he is notified. I have been emailing him and I don’t think he knows to check the kiosks for messages. I was afraid he would not know of the visit if he didn’t check the kiosk.

    I sent a email last night to ask how he is notified and your support responded this morning and provided a phone number for me to call if he is late to the visit. I am very relieved and really appreciate the timely response. I can relax and go about my day and look forward to visiting with him at 5:00.

    I live in Pleasant Hill, CA, so it is not very practical for me to visit my sister in jail. Consequently, I’ve not visited her for the few months she’s been incarcerated so far. My parents also live an hour away, so it’s not exactly convenient for them to drive in and back once a week either, but they did. Needless to say, when they were advised of a new service to allow virtual inmate visits from the comfort of their home via the Internet and a computer with a webcam, we were both thrilled. It will save my parents hours (like 2.5 counting parking, waiting, etc) almost every week, and will allow me to visit at all, as I would not have driven the 4 hours each way anytime soon.

    I tried www.iwebvisit.com for the first time on September 6, 2010, and was simply amazed! It was simple to use, didn’t require special software to be installed on my computer, was reasonably priced, seems reliable so far, and was everything I expected and hoped for. It was easy to create an account, select an available time slot, and pay. I found out today I can even add up to 12 other (13 total) different webcam visitors to the same session, each participant seeing all other participants in separate windows on their screen. That blew me away. Incredibly cool!

    Your service is such win-win-win on every front I can think of: it makes it practical for distant relatives (like me) to visit at all, it makes it more convenient and more efficient for even local or near-local visitors, there is no waiting around like in-person visits, the jail gets extra revenue, it’s much better for the environment, etc. And, to top it all off, you provide excellent customer service.

    I can’t believe this technology hasn’t been leveraged for this sooner. It’s a natural fit. It’s such a “no-brainer”, and my family is SO GRATEFUL to you for creating this service. And to the Washoe County Sheriff’s office for using the service!

    I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone that has been involved in the creation of the Iweb visits at the Washoe County Jail.

    Unfortunatley, my son, Alexander has been in the Washoe County Jail since August 18, 2010. I live in Illinois and due to the nature of his offence I was aware that I would not be able to see him for quite a while and was going to fly out to see him for a visit on Tuesday, August 31st. The ticket from Chicago to Reno was approxamatly $600.00 and purchasing this ticket would have been an extrodinary hardship on our family. In April I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I completed my treatments on August 27th, 2010 and really needed to see Alex before he is shipped off to boot camp where he would not be able to see me for 6 months. And for me, I do not know what the next 6 or 7 months will bring, so whatever the cost I was going to do it.

    Imagine my surprise when I saw that I could have the same visitation at home that I could have in Reno. I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful this was for me, his brothers and stepdad. He even got to see his dog! We have had two, thirty minute visits and our last one will be this coming week before he enters the boot camp. Never having been in jail I cannot even imagine how lonely and empty the inmates feel and hopefully seeing a friend or a loved one’s face might make a very difficult situation a little better.

    Again, thank you for this outstanding idea it has worked so well and at such a reasonable cost.
